 The SAVE Association aims to effect change in safeguarding and victim engagement through football by working collaboratively with governing bodies. Founding Executive Members Ian Ackley, Derek Bell, Paul Stewart and David White are all former footballers and victims of historical child sexual abuse in a football setting

Michael Nevill

Michael has worked at the Bpas - British Pregnancy Advisory Service for the past 10 years and was very pleased to become the director of nursing there in 2017. He is passionate about the provision of safe, effective and compassionate abortion care, and he strives to ensure that this is provided to all clients seen at BPAS. Michael advocates for the provision of abortion services and has written articles on the decriminalisation of abortion and why the gestation limit of 24 weeks should not be reduced. As well as being an expert in abortion care Michael is also seen as an expert in infection prevention and control, and is currently an advisor to NICE on both of these subjects.


A member of the Triratna Buddhist Order, and the first person to transition from the women's wing to the men's wing. He will share how this has been and make more general reflections on his own journey and the difficulties gender diverse people face within their spiritual communities and the wider community.
