Getting around Edinburgh

Please contact hosts ahead of time about parking. Spaces are in short supply in many student areas of Edinburgh so your host may need to recommend a few places for you to park.

Parking is available outside the conference venue, and is usually quieter at the weekends.

Train & Bus:

Both the train station (Edinburgh Waverley)  and the bus station (St Andrews Square) are located a short walk away from the university campus, around 10 minutes for the train and 15 for the bus. However, the route is both hilly and covered in steps and cobblestones.

Local Lothian buses can take you from both places for a flat fare of £1.60 per journey.

The centre can be reached by Tram, Airlink 100 bus, or the no. 35 Lothian bus (now Skylink 300).
